I’ve never been one to recite prayers, but when I lost my voice, I was years later in a position to speak publicly and to pray. It doesn’t feel quite right to speak to Jesus with my electronic voice, but my walk with Him has been eventful and challenging for me. I realized I’ve always prayed silently, kind of non-stop at times. I do know to be thankful for my meal, especially in the knowledge that so many starve. I admit to praying for peace even with my thanks at mealtime. Your habits are likely a reflection of the way you grew up. I cannot imagine your family eating without offering a prayer. Yes, things become a kind of habit, but just repeated rites are not habits. Thanks for this.
