Reflections on Grace, Meaning, and Companionship.
Every life is a story, and every story has something to teach us about faith, grace, purpose, and the God who walks with us through it all. The books collected here are reflections from my own journey—stories, observations, lessons learned, and timeless truths discovered along the way. Some will make you think. Others may encourage you, challenge you, or help you see the ordinary moments of life through a different lens. My hope is that these pages will help you pause, reflect, and perhaps discover a little more meaning in your own story.
Sorting Out What Matters Most
“When I wrote If I Should Die Before I Live, I pictured people who found themselves in between things. People asking, What now? or What next? Or, How am I doin’? Maybe souls that felt stuck in a day they didn’t expect and certainly wouldn’t choose. People who wonder if their story still matters, and if so, how?
As a pastor, radio storyteller, and life coach, I’ve spent years helping people pay attention to life. That means noticing the small “insignificants,” the quiet details, the ordinary moments that can slip past a body in twenty-four hours without a second thought.
This book is my way of sitting with you on the front porch of my own life and asking, “You wanna look at life together?” My prayer is that reading it will help you see again the beauty, the hope, and the calling of a lifetime. The truth is that the life God gives us is fleeting, and slips through our fingers like sand slipping through the top of an hourglass, one moment at a time. Sorting out what matters most in that lifetime … has eternal consequences.

Reflections on Grace Hiding in Plain Sight
What if the clearest reflection of grace is found in the ordinary moments we’re most likely to overlook?
In Soul Mirrors: Reflections on Grace Hiding in Plain Sight, I invite readers to experience and rediscover God’s presence in the small, sacred details of everyday life.
Through honest reflections on grace and faith I take a look at how faith grows not in grand gestures, but in quiet moments—as we choose to listen, forgive, notice, and remember. You may catch glimpses of your own journey; the
familiar hopes, unspoken prayers, and quiet moments when God was nearer than you perhaps knew.
Whether you’re navigating seasons of uncertainty, longing for some peaceful purpose, or simply trying to make sense of life’s pace, these reflections will help you find meaning in the mess and grace in the cracks.
Encouragement on Days Where There Are No Words
At some point in almost every life, the path becomes steeper than expected. No announcement that it’s coming. No clear reason for the sudden incline. And no visible clue as to when the journey will level out. Life sometimes asks more of us than we expect.
The Unexpected Steep is a book of stories and reflections shaped by ordinary days, Scripture encountered along the way, and not-so-simple faith lived one step at a time. It is not about fixing what is broken or suddenly finding clarity. It is about learning to walk attentively, noticing where we are. Encouragement for those who find themselves on a lonely stretch of life they did not choose, wondering what this part of the journey is asking of them, and longing to know that God is present in places they never planned to be.
